Birria Taco Kit Preparation Instructions


You will need:
- 2 to 2½ lbs. Boneless Beef Chuck Roast, Trimmed of Fat and Cut into 4 to 5 Pieces
- 1½ Cups Water
- Shredded White Cheese
- 1 Small Onion, Chopped
- Cilantro, Finely Chopped
Prep Directions:
- Season beef by adding water and Seasoning Packet into roasting pan or pressure cooker. Stir until blended. Coat beef by turning in seasoned broth.
- Stew in oven at 300°F for 3½ to 4 hours or in pressure cooker on HIGH for 60 minutes until tender. Transfer cooked beef to cutting board, shred with fork.
Birria Taco Assembly

Step 1
Heat 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat. Dip Tortilla in seasoned broth.

Step 2
Place tortilla in skillet. Top half with cheese, beef, onion and cilantro; drizzle with Creamy Chipotle Sauce. Fold in half.

Step 3
Fry tortilla 1 to 2 minutes until golden brown. Flip; cook another 1 to 2 minutes until cheese is melted and taco is golden brown.

Step 4
Serve tacos with seasoned broth.
Alternative Ground Beef Preparation Instructions
You will need:
- 1 or 2 lbs of lean ground beef
- ¾ cup water for 1 lb OR 1.5 cups water for 2 lbs
- Shredded White Cheese (Monterey Jack, Mozzarella, etc)
- Vegetable oil
- 1 Small Onion, Chopped
- Cilantro, Finely Chopped
Prep Directions:
- Cook beef in 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat 6-7 minutes, breaking up and stirring; drain.

Stir-in Seasoning:
- If using 1 lb of ground meat: Stir-in ¾ c water and ½ pouch of seasoning mix; heat to boiling.
- If using 2 lb of ground meat: Stir-in 1.5 c water and entire pouch of seasoning mix; heat to boiling.
- Reduce Heat: Simmer uncovered 4-5min; stirring often until thickened and no liquid remains.
NOTE: When cooking with ground beef, there will be no broth juice to dip birria tacos.
